The Dreaming Spires are a band from the Oxford area known for their distinctive harmonies, roots-infused sound, and Americana-tinged indie rock. Their music has drawn comparisons to artists such as Big Star, Gram Parsons, Teenage Fanclub, and The Byrds, incorporating elements of Americana, country, folk/rock, and classic 60s pop.
Their most recent album, ‘Normal Town’ explores themes of home, nostalgia, alienation and the beauty of the everyday, the record blends 60s rock ‘n’ roll influences, nodding to the Who, Jeff Lynne and the Everly Brothers, and chamber pop accents underpinned by a subtle layer of political commentary.  The title track pays homage to their hometown of Didcot, once dubbed “the most normal town in England.”.  The video for their latest single ‘Stolen Car’ was filmed in Newbury when three-quarters of the band stepped in at very short notice to support Annie Keating in September.

In support is the duo Rosewell Road. When Zoë Wren and Jasmine Watkiss first met, their friends forced them to sing a tune together in the very public setting of a market square in Cambridgeshire. Their musical chemistry was instantaneous and it led them to form Americana duo Roswell Road. The London-based multi-instrumentalists blend close harmonies with candid storytelling, drawing on real experiences from mental health to family love to real-life activist adventures at sea.

Roswell Road is releasing their debut album ‘Rebel Joy’ in March 2026, co-produced with The Dunwells.  Their sound, which has drawn comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and First Aid Kit, has taken them from shows and festivals across the world, including Cambridge and Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Costa Festival Ibiza, and The Horshoe Tavern in Toronto.  They’ve also appeared at industry showcases in the US, Canada, France and Ireland.
