Lauren South & Friends

Friday 22nd November

Lauren South is a rising star in the folk music scene who stepped in, at extremely short notice, to open for Reg Meuross when he was at ACE Space in March. She captivated not only the audience in the hall but those worldwide as the gig was live streamed by LiveToYourLivingRoom. Reg Meuross said ‘I love Lauren’s voice! It has a distinctive and unique beauty that allows her to turn every word she sings into a kind of magic formula.’. The ACE Space team are delighted that Lauren is returning with Keith Donnerly guitar), John Parker (double bass) and Ben Haines (percussion).
Lauren is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for her original compositions and traditional melodies. With the accompaniment of tenor guitar, fiddle, and shruti box, her songs exude heartfelt emotion and vivid imagery, drawing inspiration from her passion for the nocturnal heavens, the natural world, and her journey through motherhood.
