About ACE Space
ACE Space was created in 2008 after a local volunteer group took over the running of the former RAFA Social Club in St Nicolas Road, Newbury. Since 2008, this group has maintained and improved the whole site, making it a safe, welcoming and well-equipped space for numerous activities. The building is now used seven days a week.
The building is owned by Greenham Trust and is leased to the ACE Space volunteer group (registered UK charity no.1137037 “ACE Space”). The aim of the charity is to benefit the local community through the provision of the building for a variety of appropriate uses.
An informal Committee headed by a small group of Trustees runs the Hall and is responsible for maintaining and improving the interior with GCT responsible for the exterior.
We are always looking to raise funds through hirings, events, donations and grant applications to cover maintenance costs and improvements, which currently includes plans to install all-access toilet facilities.
We are very keen to hear from you if you are interested in supporting us in any way, whether through advice, hands-on volunteering, and/or for using the Hall for community, social, arts and business activities.
